On a U-100 insulin syringe

That dose is more than one full U-100 syringe — split it, or add more water to lower the concentration.
How it works. Concentration = vial amount ÷ water added. Volume to draw = your dose ÷ concentration. A U-100 insulin syringe has 100 units per 1 ml, so units = volume × 100. Tip: adding more water makes the solution weaker, so each dose is a larger, easier-to-measure volume.
